Definitely not a sting, there's no way resources are going to be put in place like that for one joe shmoe. If there is ever a case around an escort business, there's at most someone monitoring somewhere and logging number of Johns coming in an out and not ambushing you in the room.

I would have done the same - session is ruined at this point. I renovate hotels quite often and I was having a conversation one day in the lobby with the hotel manager when a lady walked in to book a room. He excused himself and went and spoke to the lady and she left. He told me they had a complaint about her the day before for “doing business in a room “ and she had been asked to stop. I asked what is the hotel’s protocol. He said unless there’s a complaint they let it go, one complaint and they can’t be seen to ignore or else someone will call the police and can be viewed as participating in the activities. He also said that reception can often tell from body language who is visiting and who is a guest. Cheers
