Tips for visiting clinic

I have approached a local clinic and they want me to come in for a chat and give a treatment to the lady who runs it (I actually offered and she was very pleased). It's v exciting!

I am sure many of you have done this sort of thing, so I would be interested to hear any advice you may have for someone in my position. I've written to the clinic confirming the date and time, enclosing some of my literature and business card, and telling them a bit more about my training and therapies. I've also drawn their attention to my website.

If you have visited clinics to talk about getting work there, have you taken along copies of your certificates and insurance? I'm sure it wouldn't hurt. Anything else you'd take along? I have a v nice reference letter from the place where I did my work placement as a student.

Well done you!! Just be yourself, take along your certificates, including your insurance and your reference and check whether they want a full treatment or just a taster. I would do a consultation (you would need to anyway for a full treatment, but it also shows your people skills).

Other than that, just be yourself and do what you usually do.

Hi, we ask all new therapists to give us a treatment (I know, it's terrible isn't it?!) and I had to give the osteopath a massage (who is now my business partner, didn't envisage that happening) and I was nervous at the time, but he says he can't even remember the treatment! So, the moral is don't worry about it too much!

It's good they want a treatment from you, that way they have high standards and want to keep them.

Hey good news..so when is it...no particular advice really but it did make me laugh when candie said her partner couldnt remember it....if it was one i couldnt remember they wouldnt get the job...it has to stand out!!!!! (well for me anyway)....and I Know candie wont mind me say that too much as she is one of my older HP maties!!!!!!

Yup certificates, insururance & passport !!
( or something that actually proves you are who you say you are)

I find for me, the practical approach is by far the best way for an interview - one of my employers wanted me to sit infront of a board of directors & tell them what i could do, my objectives, experience etc etc . .
YUK - I politely said no way & suggested she came to me & I'd show her what i do then she could go away & feel the benefits , then we'd talk !
From my perspective tis something that can only be expereienced not discussed - not only did I get the job but she comes privately aswell
& half her staff - so go for it - switch off , forget its an interview & just do what comes naturally !

Excellent (but dodgy in places ) advice everyone!! Thank you. Well, that appointment is this Saturday but being an intrepid soul I phoned another place and am v glad I did. They were looking for a reflexologist and when I phoned there were very keen to meet me. I went in and gave the manager a treatment this afternoon and they want to know when I can start! It's a great place, I go there for my facials etc and I can see myself working there.

Let's see if the meeting on Saturday goes so well!

Well Vicki, it's a small old world isn't it? Are you just down the road or something? As for your question, Angel Cards are a sort of tool for meditation and you can also give readings for yourself and people. I'm quite new to them but I enjoy them because they are positive and supportive. I played around with Tarot a few years ago and got a little spooked by it I'm afraid.
