The Shipwreck Bar

I really enjoyed visiting at the "Shipwreck" during my last visit, and it seems to be a good place to relax, and not be bothered by "lady drink" nonesense. Has anyone had similiar experiences, or know other similar bars?

Shipwreck is really one of the BM's favourites for a late afternoon early evening drink in a relaxing atmosphere. Also I have spent quite a view hours during my visits.

Not so sure, but coming here and calling out lady drinks as nonsense is really a great 3rd post. Your never forced to buy a lady drink...its up to you.

If your not into the ladys..that's all fine and well...no worries. Plenty of places around that don't have a pickup scene....byolbfm.

Me too. I really enjoy these four or five bars in Bangla.

Fritz: When you walk up from the beach (in Bangla Road), you’ll have a couple of bars on your right side. Shipwreck’s one of those bars. You can’t miss it.

haha..don't think she's intrested in the likes of me. she was great company
having a few beers in shipwreck. has she still got the little dog? she used to run across to her house and bring him to the bar!

Yeah, it is one of a number of bars that cater for the old Scotish expats whose pensions don't allow them the leeway to buy lady drinks ... :whistle:

Don't remember the dog. She is a fun lady and you always got your money's worth of a nip which makes a change from a few bars on Bangla.

There are ladydrinks in these bars. I always end up paying drinks there. But the girls are less pushing than the girls in the sois.

i loved nightime in bangla...MTB etc, barfining the ladies. but to be honest the thing i missed more than anything on my return home was my lazy afternoons i spent in the shipwreck!
