Starting Reflexology course 2moro, So nervous!!

Hi guys im looking for a bit of reasurance im starting a reflexology course at warringtoncollege 2moro andim a bit nervous, i've done a few other courses last yearcovering beauty but ireally wanted to do this one as i was told by my tutor that i would be really good at it!

The truth isi had an accident 2 years ago hurting my back quite badly, so i've been out of work but doing these courses to gain confidence and stop me going completly mad!!

Im just nervous coz i have to meet new people all over again and learn something new. It just reminds me of my 1st day a school all over again!

Will i enjoy it?
Can anybody recommend where to get some information on it to help me revise and tostop these jitters!!

I didthe AORReflexology course at college last year, and can honestly say that i loved it (in fact actually quite miss going into college now). Don't be nervous, everyone else starting tomorrow is in exactly the same situation as you, just be yourself and enjoy it. Remember, your doing it because you want to, not because you have to (like school !!)

There are plenty of websites that can give you information on Reflexology, but sometimes that can confuse you even more, what you read is not always the same as what your tutor teaches you.

It is hard work, and time comsuming, but well worth all the effort, just think this time next year you will be able to call yourself a qualified reflexologist and be proud of yourself.

Hi Katherine, I started an ITEC Reflexology course yesterday! I really enjoyed my first day, go to see a full treatment being carried out which I found fascinating and can't wait to be able to have a go myself.

I did my A & P and Holistic Massage last year so I know this is going to be hard work but I am looking forward to the challenge!

Just remember that however you are feeling, the rest of your classmates are feeling exactly the same! Some will just hide it better!!!

Act like a sponge in the class - take in all the teaching, the knowledge, the experiences of the whole course and remember to keep working all the time - little and often. Read the books recommended now and thenagain later on in your course and see how much your understanding and appreciation of the particular feature or topic has changed over the weeks and months.

When you look back in a few weeks or a couple of months when you have made friends with all the others on the course, you'll wonder what you ever worried about!!! Try to swap numbers or email addresses early on so that you can support each other away from the lessons. Maybe suggest a drink after college at the end of the first half-term - you'll find it'll become a regular thing before long and those informal chats are really useful to check your understanding of recent topics.

As a tutor myself, I am really sad at the end of each course and hope that everyone I have met will go on to good things. I hope you enjoy it and find the course interesting and stretches you intellectually.

Hi guys, thanks for all your encouragement!

I know now that ididn't need tobe nervous at all. Everyone was really nice andbecause the college hadjust hada refurb we were all in the same boat!

The only problem was that the tutor we had last night was really nice,Carolyn made us all really confident it what we were doing but then broke the news that she wasn't going to be our tutor, she was only filling in while our regular tutor was on holiday.

Some of the other guys had been at the college before so knew our regular tutor Glynis, Iwas told that she never came preparedto any of their classes and they often didn't know where they wereup to. So im a little ticked off!

But to me this will just encourage me to get my head down and work even harder!

Im really looking forward to the rest of thecourse now.
It will be great to learn somethingthat will give others relaxation and balance
