I have been following this for a few days now on the piatnight forum.
BIR implements ?Oplan Kandado? program | Sun.Star Network Online

It was announced by a BM on the forum on the 3rd Sept.
All the PBH loyalists, shot him down & called him a troll etc. 55555555

PBH went into damage control straight away & boarded the main entrance doors & placed building materials beside it, so it looked like they were doing renovations......What they were doing was covering the BIR notices. 555555
The boarding has been removed & the below pics are Reviewom a PI BM yesterday.

The forum rumour mill is saying, that things should be sorted by the 8th this week.....I hope so too.....It's a great hotel.

UPDATE:

I went today to check out the hotel and spoke to a guard and one of the 'managers' who were sat outside.

It appears to be an under decleration of earnings which violates some tax law.

Whilst the stmpf were upbeat an owner of another hotel says that it will take 'some time' to re open.

My advice to any BM booked there is to book somewhere else until it is officially open again.

It's not just Thailand where the crackdowns are happening.
The world is money hungry, no exceptions.
The PBH is a great hotel and not TOO expensive, hang a left off blow road, top location.

I received an email Reviewom Annie at the Reviewont desk on September 4th confirming my November reservation,then stumbled onto this topic on another forum a couple of hours later.55555555

2 1/2 months till my visit,so I'm not hitting the panic button......yet!

Latest talk is that even when opened there may be limited sevices available at the hotel, what that means and why I dont know but, the place is being really talked down a the moment.

If it was me and I had a booking there, I would be making alternative arrangements until such time as the hotel is up and running properly.

What if tey make and arrangement with the tax authorities and then are unable to pay or make another mistake?? Being given 24 hours notice to leave and find alternative accomodation would not be a good holiday.

Doom and gloom maybe bit many save their hard earned cash to have their relaxed vacation. this would spoil it and there are plenty of hotels n AC just as good as the PBH, albeit without the location.

ABC was full for the foreseeable future so I booked the Savannah this time, up perimiter and I have to make an effort to get to Fields.

A Reviewee shuttle service operates 24hrs and the hotel and stmpf are every bit as good as PBH.

There are alternatives and I would seriously consider using them if you have a PBH booking.

Really, ABC is becominbg really popular, with good reason.

The ongoing saga re the PB rumour machine states that the Wild Orchid is behind the 'grassing' as a law suit with the PB cost them big bucks.

This Reviewom another hotel owner who apears to be rubbing his hands with glee as people are actually booking into his flea pit now.

Just an update and info on a rumour that is circulating, havent seen anything official:

day before hotel closed a guest was killed by his bg gfm stabbed apparently.

Not sure if that was a reason used to close it or not.. all very strange with rumours flying around but the death of the guest is certainly one of the stronger ones.

No mention of that on the PI forums, where there's scores of BM's on the ground in AC.

I aint buying it.

14 September, 2009 - BIR padlocks delinquent establishments
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- mpter closing a Pacific Breeze Hotel in Angeles City for under-declaring its income, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) the other day shut down nine more establishments in Central Luzon under its Oplan Kandado program.

BIR regional director Romulo Aguila identified the establishments as Benso Cham Corporation, MSQ Fair Plaza Marketing, Villegas General Merchandise, Ascending Ray Corporation and Benso Winner Corporation, all in Olongapo City.

The BIR also closed down Karen Chua Grocery in Tarlac and three other establishments in Cabanatuan City owned by one Danilo Martinez.

“These establishments have not been declaring their proper taxes. The closure of these establishments sends a clear message that the BIR is serious in its Oplan Kandado campaign and compelling individuals and businesses to declare the proper taxes,” Aguila said.

Aguila told Sun.Star Pampanga that some 11 establishments now have been closed under the Oplan Kandado program for not declaring the proper taxes.

He said approximately 60 business establishments all over the country has been padlocked since the launching of the Oplan Kandado. The very first to be padlocked was an establishment of a taxpayer in Magalang.

Been open a couple of weeks now with no problems reviewed.

Lets hope they took the time when it was closed to bring the tired looking rooms up to the standard they obviously have when employing stmpf.

With the reviewed 23m they had to back pay in taxes I fear the hotel will continue to look tired and worn.

My thoughts too and add bug spray to the list. I've never paid $85 a night in Thailand or the Phils to have roaches run around my place. Great cool stmpf though.

Just checked into the royal amsterdam, kinda looks better and no bugs. Alot of these hotels are all fully booked. I decided to stay an extra 2 days here in AC I still have too many chics I need to meet up with before I return to work.... I'll get some pics on the board soon. I only paid 2200 peso for 2 bg's barfine last night, went out drinking all night for super cheap. And now they're coming back before they have to go to work..... What a country.
