One thing to keep in mind is that is a second maybe 3rd language they are trying to navigate. I am sure you would be faced with the same difficulty if you were in their home country. I give them a thumbs up for trying. English is a very hard transition for many to learn later in life.

In Pompeii they uncovered the local men's service shop, at the time they used carved stone pics showing what was offered and you picked your pleasure. Back in the day Pompeii was an international port with many different languages. I like the idea of some kind of printed menu being pics or words.
