Jaco - Need latest on where the action is?

Heading to Jaco for 2 days Friday 3/23 and Saturday 3/24. Staying at the Vista Mar right in front of the Cocal and per some of the recent posts it seems like the Cocal is now the place to be. If anyone has been to Jaco in the last couple of weeks can you provide an update on the action at Cocal and Beatle Bar. Thanks.

Just got back yesterday.....never stepped foot in BB because nobody was recommending it, new ownership ($14 to get in where Cocal is free)...two of my boys checked it out and came right back out...Cocal was the spot but out of four nights in Jaco, it only closed once at midnight and only because the party was in Playa Hermosa, Backyard Bar on Wednesdays.

On Friday, Le Loft is good as was Monkey Bar (they have a new VIP area)...start early cus the good ones get taken up quick! I would still recommend Cocal on Friday but some of us got tired of the scene.

Sorry, cant help you with Saturday cus we stayed in SJ that night.

The chicas in Jaco seemed more personal, wanting to chill and hang out rather than rush, rush, rush like chicas in SJ...

One experience at HDR, found one chica, Paola, told her lets go and she says lets have a drink first, i told her i have drinks at hotel...so i gave in and got one drink...after awhile, i was like lets go now but then she stated i had to pay her first for giving me company at the bar...i said hell no and moved on...that was just MY experience, although..

HLH in SJ was great though! Cheap prices for nice chicas!

I'd do Jaco all over again!

If my interpetation is correct you did the right thing - something tells me the time in the room would have been rushed, with lots of "Don't do/don't touch" rules. Plus she does not deserve to be "rewarded" for acting like a complete cunt.

Cocal is crazy hot right now with lots of semi-pros on the weekend coming from all over. For $150 you can likely have a GFE that could last all night long. It just seems the chicas at Cocal are ready to party more than the ones in San Jose and not watching the clock trying to turn as many tricks as possible. Maybe its the beach setting and the occasional bonfire on the beach they have in front of the hotel that makes it more laid back. Where else in CR can you pick out a chica, take a walk on the beach, burn one down with her and then decide if she's the one for the night? I guess maybe Backyard but there is no lineup like Cocal there. Jaco takes the cake right now in my mind for those looking for a mancation. Sportfish and sportf*ck in the same day. I'll take the sandy paradise over the concrete, smog laden jungle anyday. But that's just my 2 cents. With all that said, I love an occasional night in SJ and a visit to Le Grillon and Del Ray as much as any other monger. But 24 hrs there is enough for me.

Wow, I lived in Jaco for 12 years and now you have me wanting to go back and check out the pool deck at the Cocal. haha It was always hit and miss in the past but by all reports I'm hearing over the last six months or so make it sound like the place to be. Smart girls, always thought this was a cool spot to interact with chicas. Maybe more and more guys are tired of paying the ridiculous cover to get in the Beatle Bar and Cocal is just filling the nitch.

Cocal was hopping onThurs- many, many hot chicas- pulled 2 different ones for for an hour of fun each. They started at 100 and we settled at 80-a far cry from 150!!

A hotel review from a gringa said the Cocal is a nice hotel but a lot of out of shape older gringos are hanging out at the pool with much younger, young enough to be their daughters, local girls. hank just got back last week...they did give me a free upgrade on room for the night.. they say not to bring girls to your room, but will look the other way and not charge you to bring girls to your room..nice bar off the pool about 40 girls there last thursday ..differant feel as bar is outside and beach is a short walk..

I've had very, very good luck with the Boy's Club, which is located at I Love Sushi, a short taxi ride from downtown Jaco. Hanging out at the pool for a couple hours with a few girls at the Pool Party is great !! Excellent food available too !
Calling ahead and talking with the owner, Marc, is a good idea, to make sure there will be some lovely young ladies poolside.
