Ok now, About 2 weeks ago I got a phone call that made me feel wierd. First, the caller had claimed they were in town from (another city) from time to time. Well they asked if I did out calls, which I do. So we talk about price and again no problems. Well here's where the call took a turn. First he insist that he not be draped, LA law requires you to be draped at all times during the massage. So I stated my peice and then he asks if I would do a Prostate massage. I'm thinking to myself WHATTTTT!!!!, while I'm trying not to drive off the road. Oh I was on my cell phone driving when he called. Well, keeping my composure, I clearly stated that all my massages are strictly theraputic in nature. So then he askes how much notice did I need for a massage? ( My subconcious mind must have been yelling at me so I said, "2 weeks notice". So calmly, the creepy guys says, wow your pretty busy. So I went to tell him yeah, I keep busy. Then I realized he hung up. So out of curiosity I call back the number, the call was made from a calling card. So it was kinda freaky, it's the kind of thing that almost totally turned me off on outcalls especially to a hotel.I had put my name on a massage website to call me for a massage in my town. I almost took it off.I tell ya, I'm 6'.4" 265 lbs. I'd like to think I could take care of myself, but after calls like that it makes you feel vunerable.Your thoughts or stories if you have any,Thanks for listeningBrent

*lol*  I had to laugh at the picture you painted of almost driving off the road. Sorry. heheheI used to have the name of my company and phone number in the rear window of my car. One day while I was at the mall, I got a phone call from a guy who gave off bad signals. I hate to jump to conclusions, so I tried very hard to give him the benefit of the doubt. I had even written his name in my appointment book when he said in a suductive voice, "So... how old are you?" I told him to have a nice day and hung up.Then, realizing that he had probably gotten my number off of my car, I practically ran to the parking lot, removed the static decal from my window and threw it in my trunk. Moments later a guy came out of the mall and I watched him as he looked around at all the cars in my row with a confused look on his face. I never put that decal back in my car window.It is a very freaky feeling to get one of those kinds of calls.-Melody

I haven't had any creepy calls yet, (YET!) but one of my instructors told us about a call she had one day. She answers the phone and the man asked her about the different moves she does. She explained a few of them and he asked her if she does "release" massage. She paused for a moment and said to him, " I think you have a much different problem. Let's pray together." Needless to say he hung up quite quickly!

Pete's right, you're in good company. I get those calls as well. As soon as he said he's from out of town and looking for an outcall, that's pretty much when I knew how it was going to turn out. I no longer do outcalls. I get asked for 'prostate massage' every now and then, and I usually laugh at them. Loudly. And get others in the salon to laugh loudly with me. They usually don't call back, hehehe. I hate to say it, but you'll get used to it. Don't feel vulnerable or turned off of massage or even outcalls, sometimes people like that just call.I'm doing a study now trying to judge when I'm going to get the calls. I've noticed that about a week after a full moon, I get 2 or 3 calls in one day for things like that, and maybe a couple the next day. I'm still trying to narrow it down, and am marking it on my calendar every time they call and the approximate times. When I get a fair judgement, I'll begin research on what parts of the brain can be affected at certain times of the month/year. It's a work in progress. (Yes, I'm a total geek.)

Seforum.xxxgnant, I did that exact thing. When I got home I quickly wrote down everything that was said, the phone #. Yeah for like a week after I hated to answer the phone. My massage therapist kinda chukled and told me I passed the test. You live to go on to another day. I'll never stop doing massage because of people like that. People like that get there due, one day they'll call the wrong person. It might be this guy named Bubba and Bubba will make them his $itch. I've had those calls in the car also, since my signs are on the windows.  I had one that was asking embarassing questions until I saw him in the car behind me and moved to take down his number.  His conversation was tantamount to sexual harassment and solicitation.  He rung off real quickly when he saw I had caught him.It happens.TOM

I have a one line listing in the phone book and I get 90% perverts from that.  I think they look at the bigger holistic ads and know for a fact that they aren't going to do any prostate work.  They see mine and they give it a shot.  Most of the creeps are "in town temporarily" or some version of that.  At first I couldn't figure out why they couldn't get a massage therapist in their area and now I know.  Grrrr...I graduted in April of this year and my first booking was from the yellow pages ad.  I didn't do any massages for 3 months after him.  I now know how to screen them better.  I'm also taking the yellow pages listing out with the next phone book.  I'd love to get a big hoistic ad but can't afford that.  My business card and advertising flyers all have my website on it so I've had really really really good luck screening people through that.  I knew there would be some smarmy types out there but I had no idea there would be so many.  It ticks me off because they have the power to rain on my parade if I let them.  I used to...I don't now.    KarenP.S.  I don't think I'll be putting a sign on my car either.  Thanks!

I used to get these calls earlier in my career. آ As you become more known in your area, they do trail off. آ You have to take this kind of annoyance with a grain of salt. آ I usually say "Yes, I do do prostate massage ... آ but only with a knife and blowtorch, have a nice day. آ Buh bye!" آ  and hang up. آ Remember, sarcasm, mixed with disdain and a healthy dose and snottiness always helps end a pervert's thrill.  But that's just my style. آ Joe E.

While I was in school one of my female instructors did an out call after school one day...after that we no longer saw her...I had e-mailed her at home to find out she had been raped (badly) and had just got out of the hospital...I am 5'7" and 40 yrs old...I do not do out calls...I shouldn't say I don't...the only out call I will do is for the infirmed or if you are a present client that I have known a while...it is frightening...so I tend to be very careful...

Sorry to hear about your teacher.  That's awful!!Currently, I'm doing outcalls to build up a clientelle before having to pay rent somewhere.  Sure it's risky, but as a precaution, I give my husband the address, name and phone number of the person who made the appointment.  If I'm not back or don't call him by a certain time, he knows something is up.  In a previous thread it was suggested to actually make a confirmation call to a buddy to let them know you arrived ok and everything is kosher.

Dorraine, I'm very sorry to read about what happened to your teacher.  What an awful thing to experience.  I hope she was able to press charges against the slime that did that to her.I've done outcalls in the past.  I always called somebody and told them where I was and what time I would be finished while I was in front of the client.  I wanted the client to know that other people knew where I was -- complete with their address.  When I finished and was in the car headed home I would call back and confirm I was finished and safe.I don't do outcalls anymore.  I just don't like lugging my equipment around nor the uncertainty of the space I'm going to find when I arrive not to mention the safety issues.  I do still get people asking me to do outcalls but I'm honest about my reasons and most often they come see me instead.

In the last four months since setting up and advertising I've had about ten calls asking for release, executive release, if i 'finish it off at the end' etc. Most calls I can tell fairly quickly that it someone looking for sex. Though haven't had anyone asking for prostate massage yet.I have so far managed to resist directing them to rentboy.com but i do keep a note of names and numbers where I have them of people who call.For those who sneak through the net I have a line on my consent form about not offering sexual services, if any innappropriate requests made the session will terminate and full payment will be due. If I am unsure of the client I ask for payment before the treatment starts.Mat xxx

my teacher has gone for rape counseling...she is moving in with her daughter...they never caught the guy...he checked in under a false name...the hotel housekeeper found her...even though my out calls are limited...I call when I get there and when I leave...this is a part of our job...I can not stress how important it is to be careful...

What I wanted to add, is a topic I read about on another forum:a male therapist was asking what to do about a new patient who asked for prostate massage (it was an honest request). The patient had benign prostate hyperplasia and found that the prostate massage given to him by his previous MT very helpful. For that reason, I think it is best to answer professionally to this requests, for example by referring those people to a medical doctor.I was wondering how much should you worry that this people people would actually hurt you. Now that I read about the tragedy with Dorraine's instructor, it made me think again. I never heard about such a case before.And don't get angry or upset if some people call you for sexual services. Just keep your professinal atitude, always take precautions needed and don't let them get to you. Being MT, I think is still less dangerous than being an airplane pilot.terry
