how 2 potty train my shiatsu?

my shiatsu is very good in the house but in the morning he has weed in the kitchen.does any one have any ideas how to help me on how to stop him from doing this.

How to potty train you asian massage...that is freaky, unless of course you were referring to a Shih Tzu.

Carefully, with patience & persistance. Designating routine times & places for elimination.

You can also try dog litter boxes. More & more small dog owners are finding sucess with this method.

Crate training is one of the few proven, effective house breaking method used today, controversial, it may be, but effective it is.

Most dog owners don't have 24/7 to spend with a puppy, if you're like me and my wife, you have a job, and a life.

When you leave to go out, or to work, take your dog out until it goes potty.. if it doesn't don't stress it. Prior to leaving put your dog in a crate about his size, with food, and water.

Your dog will not go to the bathroom in its crate, as animals never go where they eat/sleep. As soon as you get home take your dog out, if successful, reward your dog with love and a treat.


Repeat the steps of taking your dog out, crating it, and taking it out as soon as you get home. Give it 7 days, and it will follow routine; dogs are creatures of routine.

because puppy has to go before you get up,if you can fiure around what time puppy pee's problem solved,no more accidents

or if puppy is in crate,you may have to pick puppy up and take outside,

not sure how old your puppy is,but they pee often

I have a 7 month old,and he pee's like 7 times a day..

My adult dogs go 4 times

1. put newspaper on the floor of your kitchen (about 6 pages)
2. each day, (assuming your dog uses the toilet paper) remove 1 piece of newspaper.
3. then slowly move the newspaper outside (when there is only 1 peice left)
4. finally take the newspaper outside.

if this doesnt work, u'll need to be very persistant.

Hmmm... shiatsu is a style of massage... maybe you have a Shih Tzu?

He is sleeping at night in the kitchen, and has urinated by morning... is this what you are saying?

How old is he? If he is a young puppy, he may not be able to go all night without urinating. He could sleep in a small crate next to your bed, and when he cries you could take him outside to urinate. The crate should be large enough for him to enter, turn around, and lie down... no larger.

If he is an adult, I would have him sleep in a crate, as well. Dogs do not want to be in their own waste products, and if he is in a small crate he will choose not to urinate.

If he is an adult and cannot go all night without urinating, I would have him checked by your veterinarian for a urinary tract infection.

If he is very old, perhaps he is losing bladder control due to age.

If you choose to have him remain in the kitchen at night (not what I would choose, but I'm not you <G>), you could set your alarm for four hours after bed, get up and take him out. Once he is okay with four hours, set your alarm for four and a half hours after bed, then five hours, etc. until he is making it all night.

Do NOT crate a puppy who has not eliminated when you go to work... the puppy cannot wait and WILL eliminate in it's cage... the puppy will learn that it has no choice but to eliminate in it's cage, and the cage will no longer work for housetraining.

Do NOT leave food and/or water in the cage! The puppy is fine to go without for the hours you are gone. If it eats or drinks it WILL eliminate in the cage, which is exactly what you do NOT want to have happen!
