The Nigerians over medicated themselves. Antimalarial drugs are sold over the counter. No prescription is necessary. So it's easier for an ignorant person to take too much. The same thing will happen if you take too many aspirin. But it's no reason to stop using aspirin.

It's not the fact you won't die. The virus passes on so easily to others along with if it overwhelms our health system what about others with health issues like a stroke, heart attack, diabetes they won't get help. This is about trying to not overwhelm the health system. If it's overwhelmed we are fucked if you have any other issues say you get into a car accident or stroke out. You could die because all their treating is corona patients and have no time or space for you.

It's about not sending our hospitals into overload. Plus not like we can ask Ursus to be a doctor if doctors and nurses get sick who can take care of us? That's the problem in Italy now doctors are dying hard to just replace a doctor. You don't get a medical degree in 6 months.

You are right because once you are infected and after 14 days you recovered,your immune system produce an antivirus,and you cannot get it again, at least not this particular virus.

True it is novel to humans but the issue is how it mutates. When a virus gets into a human the body learns how to fight it. So if the person survives the disease, your body will be immune to the virus that attacked you as the body can now produce the protein based antibodies that will bind to that virus and prevent it from binding to healthy cells. The issue at hand is that there might be multiple strains of COVID19 because it might mutate often. Thus you can be re-infected by the SAME virus but a DIFFERENT strain. Biotech was my area of profession

Good for you. Asking a question is a major improvement over every other post I've seen from you.

It is called NOVEL because it is new to humans. It is is not likely that it will ever be discovered exactly what route the mutated virus took to get from an animal (most likely a bat), to humans. This virus is no different from others in the way our bodies react to fight it off. If you survive, it is because your body successfully makes antibodies that render the virus unable to replicate and function in your body. It's interesting the way it works too. The antibodies "knock off" those little suction arms that protrude from the virus, making it unable to stick to the lungs.

Agreed, but technically it's no longer the same virus. I think it would be more accurate to say that developing antibodies against one corona virus does not grant protection against others.
