Foot Herb Bath & Reflexology

I finished some holidays with quite a bit of hiking....maybe 30,000 steps a day. Not much for real hikers but i am not a real hiker...so I was thinking some work on the feet/legs would be nice.
Of course Strathcona and XP (among others) mention specializing in this service.
after not having much luck getting the finer details of who and what in my searches, I am asking you guys on your thoughts.

Some of the details I'm looking for:
-Who here has actually tried it?(is it worth it for actually therapeutic purposes?)
- Where is the best place that has the required equipment? (chair and herbs etc)
-what MT at those places should I request?
-how does it work? am i in a chair? if so...how do i transition to what in a regular massage would be the tease/ flip (provided additional services existed)

I’ve done it at both mentioned places and both were good experiences. Even though the chairs at Strathcona were newer and more comfortable than at XP, the service provided by Wendy was better. But heard that XP did or is doing renovations, so not sure if that changed the equipment.

For me I did it as an add on after my 60mins full body massage so once was all done with massage and all services, headed to separate room for additional 30mins reflexology treatment.

Now you don’t have to move to another room and use the chairs if prefer can stay in the massage table as I’ve also had that done just make sure to ask the therapist to work there and if were to recommend the best for me it’s between Wendy and Winky.

And for me personally it did help with chronic pain and tiredness. Hope this helps!

I have had mediocre foot massages but decided to try Sonia at Ancient Therapeutics because I see her regularly and there’s some glowing Google reviews on foot massage.
Wow. It was out of this world. When she was done with one foot and moving to the other, they felt totally different. It’s hard to describe but I now get them regularly if needed and I am always thankful.

Ahhhh...foot massage! About 15 years ago, I would get my haircut at a small studio on Jasper Avenue and about 122 street. I believe that space is filled in with a massive condo now.

I had been going to that studio to get my haircut for a few years, when the hairstylist said we now have a massage therapist that specializes in feet., would I like to try?

From my understanding they brought her in to help alleviate with the sky high cost of rent. I couldn't that day, but made an appointment for a few weeks later. So, when I arrived, I met the massage therapist. Good looking European lady of 40? On first glance she came across as 1000% legit. Reminded myself...no shenanigans!

I followed her to the back and they had done a great job of transforming a storage area into a nice sized massage Shangri la.

I told her I had never had a foot massage before. She said no problem. It was heaven! I was so relaxed under her skilled hands. Then she had me walk on her lava rocks....of course with a towel covering them. So good. In subsequent appointments, had foot baths and manicures. She was top notch. Nothing ever happened between us other than getting very friendly.

Sadly the shop closed...as busy as they were! Couldn't keep up with the never ending rise in rent. Lost touch with her. She went on a long European vacation and never heard from her again. I guess what I wanted to say, nothing like having your feet pampered! Any extras didn't happen and honestly I was OK with it.
