Getting back to the topic, I met my Thai wife in Phuket in a Health Club in Phuket town.

With the benefit of hindsight, this is not much different from meeting women in the west. I've never been good at meeting girls in bars or clubs and in the past in North America nor in Europe.

Rather I have typically met women either at work or via social activities setup by friends, or via sharing a common sports or social activity. I don't think Phuket is any different there.

Occasionally I've met someone through a chance encounter, but for my personality that required a lightening strike of a lot of mutual chemistry for things to work.

Dating sites did not exist when was single.
