Tis true however if you pick up a girl who likes you from say "Hollywood" in Phuket the chance of them wanting money is about 95% (and most of the other more pick-up styled clubs like Tiger, Baya and Taipan higher)...same same say Climax in BKK....

money is best left undiscussed and a tip of about 1500baht left just by their purse or mobile in the morning so they can pick it up without any embarrassment or leave it if they don't see themselves that way

In all my years here I have only ever had a few girls not take the cash....it ain't that easy to come by here especially for the girls working standard jobs

Of course this advice is for the freelancers in the nightclubs...if you take a girl out of a bar you will be expected to paty a Bar Fine for her and that is usually a given that you are taking her out for sex

But in Italy in your example, the 'good girl' would probably not have to work 60 hours a week to send money home to her family, or be allowed to take time off with a liberal vaction arrangement. Not so here, Ive met girls who have to pay their employer to get time off.
So who's gonna pay the boss? Well, ok, you, after all its only something like 200 baht a day....
So what do you now have? You have a pay for play arrangement.
If shes a Uni student, she will dress like a schoolgirl in uniform ( I kid you not) and there will be no way her parents, forking out what they feel is a fortune, will let her go gallavanting around the country, keeping company with a foreigner, just for fun.
She will meet you after school if shes a 'good' girl, and with a chaperone. You will have a 2 hour date, and you will pay all expenses....is this sounding a bit like P4P?
I hazard a guess that a real 'good' girl wouldnt even go on dating sites, this would be against her fathers position.
So lets talk about the other, 'good' girls.
These will work in shops, hotels etc, and get 1 day a week off . Cant really go touring with them... or if you can, well see what I said above....but add that they will still be happy with a gift or two, preferably of money.
And if you meet them in a disco and want them to go home with you? Then they will definately want money.
Lets fast forward to the bar girl. If you are a little selective, she will generally be more 'good' than you ever thought she would be. But she will be available 24 hours. She will be able to ride or even own a motorbike. She will even let herself ( or pretend to ) really like you. She will tour wiith you. She will be as free as a bird , as long as you pay her bar each day , and her for her time. She will even go home when you tell her to, and not get too upset if you dont call her the next day...

So what do you want for your 15 day holiday?

At the time it wasn't an over statement as it was my 1st trip over seas. what impressed us most was that the girls were wearing nice dresses where in the US it was all jeans and tank tops. I was in my early 20's.

I am possibly influenced by the fact that my earliest trips to Spain and Italy were in the 70s.

Going from a still swinging London to both was a culture shock and not a liberating one at that.

I am quite prepared to believe that for you handsum men, legs were opened left, right and centre.

But they are still both very Catholic countries and...

When you consider that 1500tb is about a weeks wage for a tg working in a shop, in comparitive figures quoted by Dupree for a Vegas girl at $300 and a weeks wage in a shop in the US being at the high end at $600 US for 60 hours (?) you are getting a vastly superior (LT) and gfe feeling experience... you wouldnt have many tgs, in more desperate surroundings, turning away from that sort of money.
Leaving the money by her purse covers the sensibilities for all....
