beer bars,gogos or nightclubs.......

I was just wondering..............what is your favourite sort of venue for mongering:beer bars, gogos or Nightclubs...................or any other place I have left out like poolside, skytrain, beach etc.......for the more adventurous

I have never really been a big fan of the beer bar unless it has something special to offer like especially fine young ladies on the payroll...........or you have a bunch of BM mates to catch up with there whilst you keep one eye firmly on the talent

Go Gos can be fun if the show is good but they can be pretty boring when you get 3 mingas with their eyes closed holding onto the pole for suppport..........

Nightclubs are my favourite even though some BMs say the strike rate is lessened or the potential to have a mix up..........er sorry didn't you realise that I wasn't just asking you to my room for a coke..... may be a problem

I always seem to have the best times singin', dancin' and drinkin' in these places and so far have never missed out when I have wanted to find a "companion"

As I mentioned on a separate thread I am a fan of hotels which have Nighclubs in the basement..................kind of a one stop shop.

CM2 at the Novotel is a great place for this but I found the Erewan Hotel/Spasso Nightclub to be very expensive.........and boring and the girls were pricing themselves accordingly.....no better looking though

On my next tour (leaving home on Boxing day) I am thinking about the Nanai Hotel/Angels Nightclub combo after reading a few good accounts on the board from Marc26 and others.......

Anyone care to share their thoughts on this??

When I was working in Bangkok, I used to like sitting in a bar at a hotel and listening to the Philippino bands playing. Some hot babes and great music. There was even offers of going to their rooms

Same same me ................only different.........at Tony's nightclub in Pattaya

They had this pretty good covers band from the Philipines playing there earlier this year............mostly doin' Britney, Beyonce covers etc and there was a very fit young lady back up singer/dancer (as opposed to the 7 foot tall LBs everywhere there) who caught my eye...........

Once they were finished she walked down off the seforum.xxxe and said hi..........pulled up a stool and as they say ...........the rest is history

My first and only Fillipina experience...................let's just say I'm checking out the dive sites of the Phillipines for next year.........

First trip of mongering it was beer bars..........second trip l tended to go 50/50 FL's and Beer Bars....l think mainly bcoz some nites why the drink took over l ran out of time or did not see any bg's l really fancied.

Mongering!! That's a new word for me!! I take it it just means bimbling or slopping around with a bit of time on your hands!

For 'Mongering' in Patong, it was usually Rio during the afternoon, maybe check email, have a coffee or three and just sit in the big comfy armchairs and watch the top end of Bangla go about it's business. I used to get fed up with listening to "It's Wednesday!! Fight Night at Bangla Boxing, get your tickets nooooooow!!" every couple of minutes from the loudspeakers and it was those that usually drove me inside...........to drink!! 5555555

Mong (is that right?) by the pool with my Mp3, normally take a book with me but at PV it isn't usually that long before you are joined by another guest and strike up a conversation and pop the cap on a couple of Singhas.

Beach is good for a mong and a bit of shopping for all that tat you don't really need! Yes, I do actually own a Patong Beach fridge magnet! Brilliant :what:

I prefer to go for bar girls or freelancers. Never had a problem with Fls. Find some gogo's too pushy and the enclosed space does not help me relax.

i love barbbeer an gogo,but these days spend more time in bb but when i'm in bkk i love the gg in nana and cowboy i don't like patpong exept for kings discoteq and the open bar across with the live music. in patong in the early years i loved pink panther and playschool.next trip in 6 days i'll be there i'll try the gg again i'm free again so bigboy is butterfly until my next tirac 555555 :happyi: :happyi:

Price is not the issue...........more about good atmosphere with plenty of willing partcipants??...............I have just found that the more upmarket you go in the clubs the worse the attitude of the FLs gets..............definitely the Peter Principal here

i like all different typs of bars, i don't think in beer bars that the girls really matter what they look like as long as there is good music and good company, i like it that you can just chat to anyone at a beer bar bar and before you know it you are buying each other a beer, another point about a beer bar is that they must have a decent tv so you can watch the football etc, beer bars are good for day time drinking and early evening ..... go-gos need to have good looking girls with lots of energy and have to buzzin atmosphere they are good fun but more expensive and more demanding tips etc which annoys me somtimes, but somtimes the shows are really worth a look, go-gos are better as the evening sets in.... finally discos, i like them better personally but i am always drunk before i go anyway and there is so many nice girls to choose from in the discos that it makes it so much fun just bouncing around all night chatting to 100's of sexy girls.

I prefer the atmosphere of a beer bar or open air as I am a non smoker and the discos etc can be very heavy with smoke.
Go gos are more expensive but you usually get to see before you hire at least you can check out the bod, stretch marks scars etc, have had few so so experiences when they take off the clothes in the room, looked good when still in wrapping but when unwrapped hmmm maybe 3rd or 4th choice options. Farg eh?
