Anyway it is called Aya Spa, 2588 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough.
Tel. 647-349 - 8569, in plaza SW corner Huntingwood & Birchmount, north of Sheppard.
Is is a small place, i think 2 small massage rooms only, the one i used had a shower and tiny bathroom . Looks clean. This is a plus.
Only opened a few weeks ago, 2 women there, one i think is owner; the other a Chinese girl of medium height, 30s, average weight - not skinny, her name sounded like Avi or Evi, new to scarboro, lives downtown, 4 years here, English not bad but limited, $ 40 room fee for 1/2; $ 60 for 3/4 hr. Very quiet.
Massage average , semi hard and decent, lasted close to 20 minutes. Extras not available - did not even know what i meant at first and explained, release told $ 40 tip I took it even though normally i would only give a $ 20 tip, light touching allowed.
Business is slow i was told and nothing special offered. Too many new places, looks like city needs money.
Overall a 5.5 for MA, 7 for spa.
Better and more services and value in other places, such as Pro Clinique, Apple Garden, Mia, Green Leaf, Diamonds, just to mention a few.
Would not repeat.

I saw it there last week while grabbing supper @ Hunter's (Greek place that does excellent pizza); it didn't look terribly interesting. While they do have good cover-up of the frontage, you walk out into an area enormously visible to all the surrounding stores and very visible from Hunter's and such.

I'd be disinclined to go in in the first place because of the visibility...

I would be very careful in going to any MP in the Birchmount/Sheppard to Brimley/Sheppard area, as cops know that many have opened recently and the city councillor has been publicly stating a full investigation is underway... meaning a big time bust. Ooooouch... you'll get pinched.

There was an Asian MP in the same plaza (maybe even the same unit?) last year that was quickly shut down.

The area is heavily residential, meaning that there's not a lot of traffic for an MP business and the foot traffic it does get definitely aren't the eyes they want. I imagine the landlord will force them out very soon.

Yes two or three years ago there was a spa - exactly in the corner - near the present spa. Locked down by owner of plaza as far behind in rent , one lady alone there. Anotherr MP wanted to take over but plaza owner wanted no more spa there. Either new plaza owner or has changed his mind!!!

You beat me to the post. Bumped into the ladies when they were opening up. Avg looks. Didn't go in women older then I prefer. Very busy on weekends, busy Chinese church across the street.

I stopped at the shop next door to this place to check on my loosing 6/49 ticket. There was the most awful smell coming from the Vietnamese restaurant on the other side that was going into all of the business on that corner.

Actually the "smell" that plagues the plaza is not coming from the Vietnamese place, it's coming from Wei's Taiwanese food, which makes their famous "Stinky/smelly Tofu", go check out their poster advertising it. I'm close by to the plaza and that place have been stinking up the plaza for a long time.

I went inside there the other day to see the girls. There were 2 girls. 1 is so ugly. The other 1 was also not a very young girl. Both were like 30-35. They can barely speak english. This is not the spa to go. Don't waste your time in this spa.
The spa that i like is on Kennedy/Mc nicoll where the mac convinence store is. It is hidden on Unit #8 on Kennedy rd. I think it is 2950 kennedy rd, unit #8. Korean girls there. They are very pretty actualli, but the girl has attitude, saying no touch this and that.

I was there Friday, and saw "Jenny."

She seems to be of the "indeterminate Asian age;" the face seemed sufficiently aged that I'd think her more than 30, but it's often difficult to tell.

Same "base rates;" the room's $40 for 1/2, $60 for 3/4, $80 for 1h.

Gave $40 for T, and was rather pleased with that; Jenny's *very* nicely endowed, in contrast with the frequently "somewhat flat-chested" Asians.

A good time was had... Would return...

That notably matters if you've got something to do with that church.

Sunday morning, when relevant folks are occupied with services, is a time when people inclined to observe things are likely to be too occupied to notice.

It might, of course, be "politic" to neither arrive nor leave at about the time services begin/end, as there's likely to be a lot of people in transit, some moving slowly enough to be observant.

I recall seeing a church and strip club about 2 doors apart on Bloor (near Ossington, or Dufferin, roughly?), which seemed likely to be pretty incompatible!

I'd tend to think that the enormous high school (Steven Leacock CI) a block south would be the thing that would arouse the greater anxiety.

I believe there are two chuches in the same area as Platinum Spa, one in the same building. Never been a problem in my experience. I remember one time when the congregation was going in for an evening service, they just went about their business and so did I. The Seventh Day Adventists up the street would often be walking in groups past the entrance to the Platinum Spa entrance parking lot and never looked my way either. The Car dealer group next door, aside from taking up all of the parking spots, would give a condeming sideways glance, however the gambling / sports club next door was always more of a concern.
