I think I told you this a couple of years back: Do not call your Mexican chicas "Latinas".

Remember, Iam a Mexican, we do NOT use the term Latinos or Latinas for Mexicans, we might use it only as a reference of being part of the Latinoamerican community, but not as a national reference.

Remember you are Americans and Americans love to encompass everything under one "umbrella", thinking that you are doing the world one big favor unifying everyone under one lable.

Like someone mentioned, Asians is a BIG word to describe Indians and Thai under the same concept.
Also, I don't think Chinese and Japanese love the idea that "Asians" put them under the same roof.


So back to the point, let me spell it out for those that don't get the point (and those that will never get it): You guys are sticking your dicks into "Mexicanas".

I loved Marrentertainmens comment "something about the round face makes me happy" Looking back, I think that is what it's always been for me. Irrespective of race, somewhere down the line, I got wired in to a certain type of face, or set of face types, that make me feel either happy, safe, wary, amused, etc. There are many times that subsequent experience has proven my initial feeling to be wildly incorrect ... take my ex-wife for instance ... PLEASE! Nevertheless, the wiring has already been laid down so I try to enjoy it as much as possible. And I have to say that Mexico has such a variety of happy "faces" that my wiring is never in lack of someone to twig to.
Now culture is a different matter entirely IMHO. I've lived here (TJ) for two years now and am only now starting to learn a tiny bit about the incredible richness of this cultural mosaic. I suspect there is something about the culture of Mexico that attracts most of us, even if our front brain is trying to make us believe it's all about cheap pussy and proximity to it.

Well here is a definition from "Winpedia" on the word or culture of being Latino, and I agree with it.

In the US and Mexico the Mexicans dominate in terms of population. If you run into a Latino/Hispanic in the US chances are about 50% at least that person will be of Mexican herieforum.xxxe. In the US we have mostly Mexican, Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Dominican Republics, and the countries from Central America, like Salvadoran,Honduran, Nicaraguan. I guess if you include Latinos like Argentinian, Bolivian, and Chilean it would mean less of the dominance of Mexico, but when are you going to run into Latino from South America. People from Brazil aren't considered Latino.

Mexico is probably larger than all those places put together from the first groups I talked about, and they certainly dominate in terms of population.

If you call a Mexican a Latino he might get insulted and say I'm Mexican don't group me with Cubans and Puerto Ricans. It depends on the person, but the reason why people use "Latina" is it just sounds sexier and better. Latina magazine wants all the Hispanics reading it's magazine.
