Poll Anyone actually had COVID?

So what exactly happens when you lose smell and taste? Do you lose your appetite? Do you still eat?

Funny thing, the dude told his wife, all those healthy things you always wanted me to eat, now is the time to make them as I can't smell or taste them..

After a short period of time, something like a couple of weeks, less than a month I believe, they got their smell and taste back.

I'm mid 40's , fairly fit, ride peloton daily, play hockey. .....we all could be in better shape, but I'm not bad. ;-) Think I got it from the condo building I live in, as I didn't see anyone a week prior . First 4-5 days, was like a mild flu. Then the second phase hit....breathing near impossible. Ended up in hospital. Just as much a mind fuck as a physical challenge. ....luckily I avoided the ventilator...., but several points I thought I was done. Weathered the storm and was back to about 75% within 10 days. Was probably 3 months before my lungs were back to about 90%. I'm still not fully back, but seeing progress each month. No joke though, you don't want it.

You're a survivor. But be thankful because it could have been worse. I heard a story about a 27 year old avid basketball player, in perfect health who dropped dead from it in a short time.

Don’t fall into the trap of trying to put everyone in one box. That is where hate brews and wells up. All those people are different and I haven’t seen Jimmyd spreading Nazi posts like some of those other pieces of shit. Good you pulled thru, I have a colleague still recouping in hospital for more than 2 months, he was on ventilator and now off it,thou his digestive system is toast...never wish anyone catches it but dumbfucks who claim this is a hoax should get it and not die rather go thru all the sufferings to realize this ain't a joke.

Good you pulled thru, I have a colleague still recouping in hospital for more than 2 months, he was on ventilator and now off it,thou his digestive system is toast...never wish anyone catches it but dumbfucks who claim this is a hoax should get it and not die rather go thru all the sufferings to realize this ain't a joke.

I think people are getting poisoned. There are too many inconsistencies with Covid for it to be just a virus.

My buddies young son had it for 2 weeks, and he didnt pass it onto his parents for the whole 2 weeks, and they only did a test after 2 weeks to confirm its Covid. And my buddy actually visited me during those 2 weeks too. I know someone else who had it also and didn't pass it onto everyone. There was a period of 2 weeks where i felt like i could barely breath but had no other symtoms. I could have had Covid for all i know. But even a year and a half in, i have yet to see any sort of PANDEMIC. We are not even close or anywhere close to a Pandemic.

I haven't, but a friend lost her elderly Dad to it, and another friend's wife got it. She has had respiratory issues and chronic exhaustion and various other symptoms for about 10 months.

I behaved except for a couple of visits with a former MA who lives with her parents and was behaving "properly". I got my first shot about 6 weeks ago, so two weeks ago, I went to see Lorena. I've since had my second shot, and I'm back in the saddle again. I might still catch it, but at least I won't die.

In my life, there is no pandemic. I live in Toronto, like most of you, I go to Yonge ST, DOWNTOWN, Scarbz, West end, Richmond Hill, i have friends from all these places and work places and i go out to eat every single day. Not one day during this whole pandemic, did i feel like we have a pandemic. Everybody who works at the local stores are still working at the local stores. IF this virus was a pandemic, there would be a shortage of Conveniece store workers, Gas station workers, Supermarket workers and everywhere else that a human has to go no matter what. But there is absolutely NO SUCH case.

It ends right there. There is no ifs or buts. Only the ignorant will argue at this point.
