I am not ashamed of hobbying but it something I just cannot talk to other people about in real life. Without forums like Massage Planet it would be a very lonely pursuit. For me hobbying is such a rich and interesting experience that I really want to share all that is good, bad and interesting with others. In practice i can only share online behind a pseudonym or with MPAs themselves under another pseudonym. I have one friend who knows I see sex workers, but we do not talk about it.

It'll be difficult for people to accept that people like us partake in this hobby whether it be SP or MP because society dictates this type of behaviour as bad,vile and immoral, so to answer your question no I do not talk about it in my real life because every response I would receive would be negative, 9.5/10 people will not look at this subject with an open mind

More people like porn than will ever admit to it. I think most people go through life not doing things they would like to do because they fear judgment. I think at some level they resent those of us who do not accept those limitations, and they enjoy having the appearance of moral superiority. Agree completely with the above, a lot of my friends know I enjoy massages because my wife talks about it openly with them and my wife books many of my appointments, once a month I get a legit massage for the insurance receipt and and also so I can recommend a place to a friend if he/she needs to see someone. Last thing you want is for some one to ask where you go regularly and mention a place that you would not want them to report back to their wife. A few years ago I had an appointment with a regular and when I walked in a friend of ours was in the lobby with his two teenage children and all three had just finished a massage. I asked if he went there often and sure enough he and I had been seeing the same regular for about a year. I walked in for my appointment and said small world, I just saw [John] when I walked in, she said oh you know him? Shortly after his wife and mine booked dinner together and the four of us went for a massage before dinner at the same place, neither of us asked for our regular and fortunately there were 5 girls working that day. Yes I do and am open about it. It's easy to do when you're single. In recent years, I've noticed that more and more single people that I know, including my best friend, have been openly discussing this. Most of the stories have been about seeing independent escorts or stripper hook-ups. People freely discuss their trips to the titty bar. Why not just let the cat out of the bag???

My family knows it as well but I avoid discussing it because I don't want to hear another rah rah speech about fiscal responsibility. It's also revolting to hear a family member go into detail about any type of sexual escapade. Once you start working in any sort of office type job I think it's basically impossible to talk openly about it (unless maybe if your company sells sex toys or something lol).

I agree. Can you imagine people putting a label on you, and looking at you a different way from that point on? It's almost like having a close sexual relationship with a co-worker. I had a couple of them tell me that they would probably be too embarrassed to work with me again.

I agree again. Too many things are holding people back because of judgment. For example, I bet some women want to go topless on a hot summer day and set their tits free, if just for a day. But the embarrassment from other women ridiculing them would be too much to handle.
