Yeah but why is it up? I don't know Karol Barrantes but she didn't deserve that. Say one of your favorites caught a break and was able to make some dough swinging her butt on TV, and then it all came crashing down because someone wanted to make a buck by humiliating her.

They made a choice that knowingly has an impact on what they do for the rest of their life. They weren't "forced" to do it. Unfortunate, but tis the way it works.

Obviously I care, and obviously you don't. It's probably not worth your time or mine debating whether we should or shouldn't care.

But it would be interesting to me to know how many amongst the brethren think it's as simple as the trivially obvious fact that Karolina made a choice and will have to accept the consequences, and how many think this kind of thing lowers the quality of our collective relation to their collective lives.

Once again, it is probably already too late to fix things once the cat is out of the bag, so to speak, and compromising photos are online. Maybe some of these chicas need to see some of the warnings aimed at teens, as sexting seems to be pretty big these days. With the internet the way it is, once something is done, there is usually no going back.

I could be wrong, but I think that 'ticagirls' is or was part of the whole Costa Rica Blush thing that's kind of faded away since last year. Once they stop paying the annual fee for that website, it will go away.

Laura/Lorena/Karoline has been around a long, long time. There are pictures of her going back several years on many mongering websites, some password protected like CRT & the International Sex Guide and others open for anyone to see like Foros de Costa Rica (a Tico website) and others.

I could see your concern if this was about a more private chica, but I don't remember Laura as a shrinking violet. Often when new photos of her showed up it was because she asked for them to be put on 'the Internet'. The one time I saw her at the old ZB, she was disappointed that I didn't have a camera with me :shock:

I also don't remember what the controversy was with her last year. I don't know what kind of 'modeling' she was doing in Costa Rica, but there really isn't a legitimate modeling industry there, and she is far from having a model look. Any modeling shows would really be T&A displays rather than a designer showing off his/her new work.

The whole incident seemed somewhat contrived to me, but you'd have to ask some of the locals for the real story, if there is one.

I agree in the sense that both are judged as "bad" by western society, and that there is stigma associated with both. If you get yourself into that situation, you have no one to blame but yourself for any consequences. But strip away the made-up social morals, and the prostitute hurts nobody. It's just another job, and not a bad one at that. The crack dealer hurts people, on purpose, for a living. He does exactly the opposite of what the working girl does.
