menstruation now, How long does it take? I mean how long will she be bleeding? and how long until she gets it again? Is it advicesabe to have her make even if it's her first time to menstruate? I don't want her to get pregnant but Im coriuos to know all this answers, I want her to be safe and well we love her so very much. We named her Mia.

It varies from breed to breed and even dog to dog about how long but normally it will last 1-3 weeks. They will usually go into heat every 6-9 months but that too varies depending on the health of the dog. You do not have to breed her ever if you don't want too-there is no medical reason to do that. Mia is a very pretty name and I am sure she is very loved and spoiled-as she should be.

If you want her to be safe and love her as much as you say you do, get her spayed. It may actually save her life, they have less of a chance of getting cancer that way...not to mention that there are already too many dogs in this world. The bleeding can last anywhere from 2-4 weeks.

most dogs enter their first heat between 6mo and 1 year. They usually have one heat every 6 mo but some will only have 1 a year. you do not have to breed her and if you do not intend to ever try to get her fixed to help reduce her chances of getting breast cancer later in life. Hope this helps

It is called a season (heat) and will last about 3 weeks, her vulva will swell and she will lose an amount of blood, but the blood loss will slow down towards the end. It is vital that you supervise her at all times when near other dogs, to avoid an unwanted pregnancy, she is far too young to mate.
The seasons will continue about every 6 months unless you get her spayed.
Spaying would be the best option for her, as it has many health benefits, it will reduce the risk of cancer and also rule out the possibility of a pyometra which is a life threatening condition that needs immediate veterinary treatment, and can happen to any b*tch after her first season.

First of, 10 months is WAAAY too young to consider breeding. (I assume that 'mate' is what you mean by 'make' )

Secondly, she must be kept away from males for an entire 21 days. If you really love her, you will get her spayed. It is healthier for her, and can prevent deadly maladies like pyometra. Not to mention that she is a mixed breed, a shih tzu/poodle mix. Too many already dying for lack of homes.
