A Korean tourist allegedly attacked a massage parlour owner when she blocked him from livestreaming from her shop in Pattaya, Thailand. The suspect, seen in photos wearing a cap and a cannabis print shirt, was said to have been broadcasting from the Richy Health Massage shop without permission in the early hours on November 14. Shop owner Narin Kongwongsa, 43, said she asked him to leave when he parted a curtain to film a customer getting an oil massage. However, the self-proclaimed influencer reportedly shoved her to the ground and allegedly punched her Korean boyfriend in the face. Pattaya City Police said they received a report of the alleged attack at 12:36 am. They arrived at the scene to arrest the tourist, who was found still livestreaming on his phone. His identity was not disclosed by officials. Police Lieutenant Kittipong Thalangkan, Deputy Chief of Investigation of the Pattaya City Police Station, said: ‘We summoned both parties for questioning and reviewed security camera footage inside the store to ensure fairness in the case file for both sides.' Massage shop owner Narin was rushed to a hospital for a dislocated right shoulder. She said: 'He has been visiting and live streaming around 10 to 20 times. I was hesitant to drive him away because he was a tourist, and I did not want my shop's image to be ruined. 'However, this time, he opened the curtain and started a broadcast while my employee was giving an oil massage to a customer. ‘I told him to stop. I was very angry and asked him to get my permission first.' Narin claimed she swatted the man's phone away and pushed him before he retaliated by allegedly knocking her to the ground. Police said the case was under investigation. Former fishing village Pattaya became popular with American troops on 'rest and relaxation' breaks in the 1960s when Thailand provided military bases to the U.S. for their onslaught in Vietnam. But in the ensuing years, locals flocked to the area to cash in on the demand for sex from foreigners and the coastal resort into the world's biggest sex destination - with the entire city now a giant red light district. Embarrassed officials have made some progress in gentrifying the region - it has multinational hotel chains and music festivals - but a ravenous nightlife industry fueled by drink continues to blight its reputation and safety.
