How to excel in the semi legit massage industry

Perhaps we the user can contribute some pointers to owners, and employees what keeps us returning.

A few ideas I have are:
- supply a clean shower area with nice absorbent towels.
- soft music in each room. Nothing worse than silence.
- sound proof rooms
- try to keep at least one younger pretty staff member on board to keep everyone busy with spin off clients.
- keep pricing consistent.
- allow your staff to deny services if client is belligerent or they are uncomfortable providing services.
- do not allow texting during sessions

- If all therapists are with a client lock the main door to eliminate walk-ins so that you do not have to leave the room to go talk to someone for 5 minutes
- do not yell through the door to the other employees
- if you have a client booked do not expect the booked client to wait or come back because you took a walk in just before the appointment
- treat your repeat clients better than the first time clients

-If your website states CC payment allowed and insurance receipt provided, don’t get upset when the client wants to pay CC......and wants an insurance receipt!!!
-Keep the same name during your tenure at that establishment. We don’t care if it’s fake. If we like your massage we may want to return to the same person......with the same name.
-Extra virgin olive oil is for cooking.
-Men are creatures of habit and easily swayed. Treat us well and we will return and reciprocate the kindness 10 fold.

If I owned a “semi-legit” place I’d accept that reviews here keep my staff busy and well paid. Focus would be on a healthy workplace and not driving popular attendants away who then start their own business and compete killing my enterprise.

On the Good Energy thread MM made the comment that rather than hijack that thread we start a new one to compare what makes Aniah an exception.
This got me thinking/reminiscing about the many visits and girls I have seen and the good and bad and what makes a really good visit for me and rather than starting a new thread I will use this perfectly good one!

So what made Aniah great (in my eyes)? I think I figured it out!
The biggest factor was VFM! She delivered more than what she was charging! Her base was what most RMT's ask for a TL HE and delivered much more.
She was involved and wanted to enjoy the session by receiving in addition to giving!
The session was about us, which means no cell phones, not leaving to answer a walk-in and not having the next appointment booked 30 minutes after the session ends so no rush to get me out the door! There is time to shower and chat.
And the service is consistently good but it's not routine! There is an air of excitement because you don't know what will happen at that session.

Compare this to others.

Sunny - Sweet girl, amazing body and knows how to use it but can come across as very mechanical, automatic and as mentioned has a routine and sticks to it. Doesn't matter how enjoyable our sessions are she always has an air of being distant the next time I see her. Also doesn't like to "enjoy" the session prefers to keep it strictly work like. Every time you see her it's like the relationship resets.

Mandy - Yes I know she goes by a new name but I am using the old one! This girl has some moves that make you say wow and when you get going you will probably say more please! But she can be described as distant and maybe aloof.

Amy - (The now Amy that has changed and not the money hungry one) Some days when you connect with her she can be a lot of fun but in the end this is simply a job to her and it feels like she is just waiting for you to leave for the next person.

Mia - Sweet girl, didn't treat you like a customer but more like someone closer but not very flirty or playful at the important times.

Gaia Tantra - (Off Whyte ave) Very warm and sweet with a great personality but can switch back and forth between passion and schooling session on occasion!

This can go for awhile so I am going to group a bunch of the other ladies such as Nini, Winnie, Kiya, etc together.
Each of these ladies offer something whether it's a great personality, wonderful "happiness" procedures, good looks, etc, etc. but none of them offers everything or at least not everything consistently and thus moves them from special to just okay.
Anyhow just my 2 cents

Chaos, I thought your post was great, and it encompassed a lot. The only comment I have is with regards to close booking, and having leisurely time at the end. As clients, we have to remember, and respect, that we are paying for time with the provider. Some independents may be a little more casual with time, but the shower and chat should be on paid time in my opinion.

Chaos, I thought your post was great, and it encompassed a lot. The only comment I have is with regards to close booking, and having leisurely time at the end. My main concern in these situations is that you are pretty much guaranteed a half-ass massage because it is a hard job and giving massages back to back means by the 2nd or 3rd customer with no break they are not generating the pressure needed for those who want and are paying for a deep tissue.
Too many times I have had situations where the last guy is coming out of the room as I am going in or the RMT is changing the sheets as I walk into the room.
Most legit RMT's I have seen schedule an hour between clients so that their body can heal and their strength comes back, this is why they don't rush you out the door.

If I have a lady I've seen on a repeat basis, I have been lucky enough to get their personal ph number.

In this case I text and ask what time would be best for them to see me. Many times I will offer to come when they confirm business is slow or a particular day is slow.

I have found this approach has been very beneficial when it comes to the overall experience during the massage.

I have even had a few ladies who came in on a day off when it has been slow and those sessions were memorable ones
