Gas Prices/ Cost of Living - Effect on Massages?

Been considering seriously curtailing my visits in light of all this. Will likely begin a once a month regiment soon, and maybe less so afterwards. Anyone have any similar thoughts?

Price of gas isn't that big of a deal to me as I only use my car to travel outside the city. But, other rising costs are taking a toll on me as I'm retired and live on my pension.

Yes, it, will be some cutoff, money talking. I had a massage with two of my providers weekly. I will see only one of them weekly.

Yes, the price of "EVERYTHING" has exploded through the roof! Add shrink inflation to the equation (reducing quantities in packages) and it is a full scale onslaught on the consumer. I have been only seeing one lady for the last 4-5 years. I am not a frequent flyer by any stretch of the imagination, so will still see her when I can. Without a question I would think guys are slowing down . And don't get me started on "property taxes". The biggest regressive tax that can be put on citizens. It's cruel!

I'm considering a complete hiatus as well. I find it's easier to not go at all than it is to reduce visits. The temptation will still be there unless you go cold turkey.

This is a interesting dilemma. I used to enjoy going for a massage and see if I could get more service ( nude, bj, or more) than leaving with just a jackhammer finish. I also like to visit escorts, or amp for full services. With prices for everything these days I have limited myself and have not been for a massage and he for a few months, but I have continued to obtain fs at amp’s. I used to partake at least twice a month, but now it’s probably every 6 weeks.

I would be interested to learn if this is the same for many on this board.

sames. and agree about the cold turkey comment - i basically pulled back here completely for the past while, and will continue "abstaining" for a while longer. I can admit that it forms habits, I can observe cycles and all, so I'm just trying to break that a bit so I can hopefully make objective choices. and its motivated by finances. I was starting to go too much, and its terrible timing with all things mentioned in this thread.

I had already cut back, but for now due cost of living and health issues, I have stopped seeing any of the ladies.
Now with interest rates eating at my resources, I may not return

I'm trying to limit myself to three times a month but find it hard. But with everything being so expensive I really have no choice.

I usually only go for massage once every 2-3 months so with the now high cost of living this likely won't change.
Always good to treat oneself even if the cost of gas to get to/from a higher-end spa like Pure costs 20 bucks. Or take a bus!
Still worth it in my books.

Need to go back to Cambodia where $20 USD got you a four hand for an hour, or 2 hours with one girl. Nice clean spa in downtown Siem Reap that served mostly locals. Very much a YMMV kind of place.

Here I’m cutting back from 1@week on average to 1-2@month.

Have shared some ideas here over the years. Repeating now. Take care of your own life obligations and initiatives first. Massage hobby should be lower on the list after you are done with the more important stuff. None of the therapists will come looking to help us out if any of us are out in the cold. Not being cynical but good to maintain that perspective. Cheers. Not spending a penny on this hobby for months can be very empowering. Then one can think clearly and choose where to spend in the future. Just don't go posting this on CAF .

With prices of everything rising they also want more money, it sucks for the because there is less to go around I saw Laura after a 7 month break from her, (her location is bad for me) her HJ price was up where I recently got FS. I won't be back. Just going to stick with my legit, that has good conversation therapy as well.

Every single expense in her life has gone up just like ours. Yet you complain about her trying to make more money?
