Disappointed in Smiles

On Friday I called to make an appointment with Gigi at 10:00. The Mamasan said she was booked. No problem, I asked if she was available on Sunday at 10:00--affirmative.

I called yesterday, simply to ensure I was booked, "She will be ready for you" Mamasan told me. I have always just taken whoever was available, but really wanted to ensure I could see Gigi.

I arrived at 9:45 just to be early. I live over an hour away and wanted to ensure I was prompt for my appointment.

A girl answered and I told her who I was and that I had a 10:00 appointment with Gigi. The girl was like, "Oh no. She just saw someone." Then she went to go look at something and came back and said, "Can you come back a little after an hour?"

I did not have that extra hour to spare, so I told her, "No, I can't come back." She then said, "You try me?" Frankly, I did not find her all that attractive. I was curious who she was and I asked, "What's your name?" She said "Connie". I've read some not so flattering reviews of her. Couple that with the fact that she did not do much for me, so I held firm and said--"no, that is okay, I'll make another appointment for Gigi." Boy, Connie did not like that and she slammed the door in my face. Nice.

In all candor, there is no excuse for that. I was very disappointed in this (pissed, frankly). They have lost a customer--I won't be back. I went next door to Elegant, and will post my review from that session.

Yes. 'Wow' is correct. I did not mind the door-slamming thing, although I was being VERY polite as pissed as I was. I just hate the fact that as much as I bent over to ensure I could see her at a scheduled time, they did not keep the appointment (and you know yourself how worried I was about that).

I'm over it now. I went to Elegant and am very glad I did. You should visit Hannah there. I was shocked at how busy Elegant was. The door-bell rang about five times during my session.

It's happened to me a few times also. I made an appointment and show up right on time or a few minutes early only to find out someone showed up right before me and took my appointment. I'm sure it happens quite often. I wish they would ask your name if you say you have an appointment with a certain girl to make sure it's your appointment.

Buck, I'm shocked at Connie doing this. She seems so quiet and polite. Never a trace of "Kimchi Temper".

MBirdbath, generally if it's mama, she will ask for your name when she writes the appointment down.

I'm a regular, twice every week, always call ahead, and have only had this happen once, and I think it's because one of the girls took the appointment. Generally, Smile is very reliable in terms of keeping appointments.

although smile is not my fave amp at the moment, they have always been very good about keeping appointments. i do know if it's the owner on the phone, she knows me so all is good. and if it's somebody else... MAKE SURE and tell them your name. this does not guarantee anything... but when i see a girl i've never seen before, i always show up EXACTLY on time and the girl i had an appointment with almost always answers the door expecting me. and she always asks 'are you JPdM'? and all is good in the universe.

the missed appointment thing happens at all amps. it's a way of life.

it sucks that it happened, compounded by the fact that you drove so far. just to show it doesn't happen all the time though, i called last thurs night in advance of my first appointment with Gigi the following day, and she met me at the door with bells on. not that it should matter, but are you known by name there?

I have always operated under the assumption it's first come first served at all of them. If you're a regular your odds go up if you want appointments but even then you can be trumped by other more frequent regulars or simply by the whim of the girl or management depending on who walks in before you get there. Never made an appointment so I've never had broken appointment issues. I prefer to retain the element of surprise.

Sorry to hear about the appointment "snafu". I've had a few of thos over the years myself. We all have to remind ourselves occasionally that it's still a business.

Re: Connie slamming door.

I reviewed the surveilance camera and there are two sides to this story.

Sometimes when we are frustrated and disappointed about not getting the sex we were hoping for, we human males can show that frustration in our tone of voice or choice of words. Add that to the fact that Connie's English is VERY limited and you've got a quick misunderstanding like this.

That's about all I wanted to add to the situation. Am sure the hobbiest didn't mean to create that reaction in Connie and it was not intentional at all. But, what she "perceived" is what forced her to react by closing the door quickly. Closing the door was the only way she knew how to get out of that (perceived) uncomfortable situation. Believe me, it was not just because she was rejected. Nope. She's been around the block more than once and is way past having a 20-year-old immature reaction from one rejection.

just last night, i had set up an appointment with GiGi for 11:30 two hours in advance to make sure she was working last night, was told yes come on down, she took my name and phone number at the time of the phone call, when i get there Mamasan greets me at the door and i tell her i have an appointment with GiGi, she even remembers me by name from the phone call so im thinking all is well, she leads me to the room and im waiting and mamasan comes back to the room and tells me "GiGi is not here, you see Julie?" i had the biggest confused look on my face ever, cause i was waiting for GiGi and suddenly she wasnt even there??? i said no and that i'll try again another time, she lead me to the door and without saying much of anything, shut it.

It was a busy night, and with all the demand for this one girl, im guessing she's getting burned out, and i cant imagine the other girls there being all to happy with the new girl taking all the business.

not sure if i'll try again anytime soon or not, but im sure i'll be back at SMILES in the future, they usually have the highest reviewed girls on this board, wont be able to fight the temptation for too long!!!

Braveheart I am disappointed that there is a surveilance camera at Smile that RECORDS the clients and that they would even share that video with another client. I will definately keep away from such a dangerous situation. In the past at a few locations the recordings have been taken by both LE or robbers. I am more concerend with the fact that they would even share that with a nother client.

If in fact it exists, it's a deal breaker for me and my big brother paranoia.
Can you imagine a news outlet getting their hands on that video and putting those pics on a review? I know it's me being paranoid, but I have too much to lose and my paranoia keeps me safe.

Braveheart you reviewed the tape? I never thought that they tape. I know they look at the monitor to see customers coming in. I will speak with the owner about this. I find this very difficult to believe. I will post about this later.

All I can say is been there, done that. You hobby long enough it will happen every so often. You think making a reservation will do the trick, but only 98% of the time it does. Still, thats pretty good odds.
