Surfing the web I found an interesting and detailed site, (for me)unfortunately only about Shanghai.

I'm going to be in Shanghai soon so was browsing CL as I often do (with good success) before going to a new city. But it quickly became apparent that the Erotic services side is totally spammed. The phrasing in the ads are all very similar, identical in many cases. Physical descriptions don't match pics (appears all these chinese girls are DD breasts...) and the same pics appear on many different ads - often consecutive ads! It is classic bait & switch, and not even well done. Pity

Looks like I have found some good advice here on this forum, and I guess Manhattan is the choice for me - thanks for your advice.

I was in SH a couple of months ago and then Hong Kong. I made a few legit contacts through CL. However, I didn't answer ads, I posted on men looking for women.

I suggest going this route if you pursue CL. Put a nice write up in there and then only send your photo if you get one of them. Ask for a couple pictures to weed out any BS.

I sorted thru all the BS emails and landed a couple of real ladies looking for dates and very attractive. However, they are looking for a way to the US.

Tread carefully.

Go ahead. Just so you know, Craigslist is overrun by one agency in Shanghai. They constantly post throughout the day to drown out any real posters. Their selection of girls isn't the greatest. Expect to pay around 1,500 RMB. You can ignore the pictures on the website and any reference to the pics being real...they're not.

Yes, well it seems craigslist is much the same as anywhere, here in my local city, craigslist is by far the biggest source mongers go to, there are review boards/communities dedicated to reviewing the posters/sp's.

Heh, each to their own but my experience with CL (except for in HK) has always been the same and I have lived here for years so do have my own place. The girl who turns up is never the one in the picture and they always try and sell you someting extra over and above the agreed price and if you stand firm on the price the level of service drops. Far better to go to somewhere like Manhattans, at least that way you can see what you are actually getting.

A good site to use if you are using CL is http://www.tineye.com all you do is past the url of the supposedly genuine pic you are looking at and it will then give you a list of all the other places that pic' has been used. At least that way you have a fair chance of working out if it is genuine or not.

BTW, I don't hate CL, I just hate the bait and switch timewasters that post on there nor am I delusional, I also know the price around town and know how to negotiate.

With all due respect, I have to disagree with this, and with the majority of CL hate on this (and other sites). CL only works if you know how to negotiate and know how to play the game. If you've deluded yourself into believing CL is anything other than what it is, or if you're staying in a hotel, you are going to have a tough time getting a good deal. However, if you are firm, have your own place, have the ability to negotiate, and know the prices around town, CL can be a fine resource for you.

You're missing something. All those ad's are bullshit and if you call them you will get a crap service as they try to upsell them. The purpose of this site is for people to share reliable information and reports.

I am surprised to not see a thread about craigslist on here, just checking it out, there are over 2000 postings per day. All girls seem to offer "massage" 1hr/200RMB and "full service" for 2hr/1000RMB. They pretty much all state that they do outcalls. So, I'm thinking it can't be that easy??? Why all these threads about people running around to obscure locations to get pussy...so, really, can't you just dial some up on craigslist, am I missing anything?
