A hobby bud of mine here in Texarkana told me I was missing out never going to amp. I am driving from Texarkana 635 north to Grapefine Sunday. Is there an amp on my route? Also usually how long are the sessions. Any message here or more detailed info please pm me. Thank you guys so much for the help!

As you drive west on 635, and come to the intersection with I-35, just take I-35 to the south and exit immeadiately onto Royal. The exit ramp comes out on Emerald. Turn left and cross Royal, staying on Emerald.

I think you will need to turn left on Royal, then circle back on the acess road to get back to Emerald. Just use your mapping software to map it out.

But right there on Emerald, you will find a whole bevy of amps such as Smile, Blue Angel, MoonNight, etc. You will quickly see why amp lovers like to refer to it as the Emerald Isle.

DDOG is correct.

They re-designed that whole intersection sometime last year. You can no longer turn left off Royal or go straight off 35E/southbound onto Emerald. You have to go west on Royal and pull a U-turn at the first opportunity and then turn right onto Emerald.

And when you leave the promised land, you can't turn left onto Royal from Emerald - right turn only.

You feel like a damn mouse in a maze trying to get there now.

Not that I would know of course, I just heard like everyone else.

Being an Amp Virgin myself, I have no idea where these places are.

I prefer not doing a u-turn on Royal, so I have been getting to the Emerald Isle by using the I-35 access road that runs south from Royal on the west side of I-35.

You can use that access road (it runs right by the building that held Yellow Rose back in the day), then turn right on Joe Field Road, turn right on Emerald, turn right or left into the spa of choice.

By the way. Anyone ever go to Yellow Rose to see royalty back in the day?

As a matter of fact, I did visit Yellow Rose a few times before it closed. If I remember, I saw a girl named "Toni", I think; sweet young thing, built like a greyhound; all natural, cute face, great attitude. Stopped going there and the reason escapes me, other than the fact that there weren't any cute girls there anymore. At the end, it looked like the retirement farm for AMP providers. No disrespect intended, but they were getting a little too long in the tooth and showed the mileage.

Still have good memories of that place though.

Your best bet is to detour via 35E south and peel off at Royal Lane, Walnut Hill Lane, NorthWest Hwy and/or Market Center Blvd.

Many of the Amps don't close at all.

Get the phone numbers off the stickies, and save them in your phone.

They will come in handy if your first choices don't work out.

True, but I would say that most are closed approximately 4am-10/11am. Anything earlier than noon may get you a very sleep girl.
